The Ecolink Zwave indoor PIR motion detector can be used with most Zwave controllers and features a configurable pet friendly mode that makes it less sensitive to small to mid size pets.  It also has built in tamper detection that triggers if the cover is removed.  

The PIR-ZWAVE2 is powered by a 3V lithium battery (included) with an expected life span up to 3 years depending on how often it is triggered.  The Ecolink PIRZWAVE2 has an appoximate detection range up to 35 feet with 90 degree horizontal coverage.
